Dyed Weapons Suggestion
Note: If this suggestion already has a thread somewhere, I apologize.
I was just dying a weapon of mine when I realized it would be rather nice and informative if you could know what you dyed your weapon with. Basically, you could just add a line of text reading "Dyed X." This would show up much like infused armor pieces do. A simple line, nothing too major.
I think this could be a good trading tool as well, because some weapons dye a lot differently than others. For instance, on one weapon, the hilt turns black when you dye it silver. And on other weapons, the dye is unremarkable, because there's not enough dyable parts or the shading is minute.
This could prevent an honest trader from losing money because he dyed his weapon black (even though it doesn't look black) and it could prevent dishonest traders from earning an extra buck (because the dye they used just looks black.)

Charging extra money for the dye is pretty much a scam, if you dyed the thing black and you want to sell it now, that's pretty much your own problem, the item should be worth as much as an un-dyed one imo. Also I don't want to see an additional line of meaningless text on my equipment, that's like the gold value on a green item, it's just there to annoy me.

I don't think you've really thought this through. It wouldn't be as simple as adding a line of text stating what colour the weapon has been dyed, since you can mix four dyes together to make a wide range of colours. I would feel very sorry for the guy who had to list every single dye combination and the resulting colour, as well as all the shades of those colours you can create. Not to mention they'd have to make the engine recognise that dyes can be placed in different orders to create the same colour (for instance, mixing blue, green and silver is the same as mixing silver, blue and green).
The only real way to implement this suggestion would be to have the game list the dyes that have been added to the weapon. So it would say "Dyed blue, green, silver". And that just looks ridiculous.

/notsigned; pretty much what Keneth said. You're not gonna get an extra 8K just because the hilt's black unless your buyer's incredibly dense. Don't want to lose money on the dye? Too bad; I buy weapons for their stats/mods, not their color.
Simple solution: Don't pay extra just because the detail is red instead of brown.

The only use I see for this is to replicate dies.
You see a nice dying in one weapon, and you want the same combination, but you don't have dyes to check possible ones...
Then a liyne:
Dyed: Red, blue, blue, white.
Just before the value would allow you to check it quickly and go buy the dyes you need.
Otherwise, I see no other use for something like that.

Theres 11 base colors
And if i'm following Pascal's Triangle correctly : 55 duel colors
165 : tri-color combos and 330 : 4-color combos
Thats a total of 561
(IF i followed Pascal's triangle right lol)
